    Enzymes have chemoselectivity, regioselectivity and stereoselectivity, thus enabling asymmetric synthesis of chiral molecules


    The article first elaborates on the application of the two most commonly used QM calculation methods in the theoretical calculation of enzyme selectivity, the hybrid quantum mechanics/molecular mechanics method (QM/MM) and the quantum chemical cluster method (QM-Cluster).

    Professor Xu Yan has successively presided over 18 national-level major scientific research projects such as the National 13th Five-Year Key R&D Program, "973 Program", "863 Program", National Science and Technology Support Program, and National Natural Science Foundation of China (Key Project)


    Professor Xu Yan currently serves as the director of the Center for Brewing Science and Enzyme Technology of Jiangnan University, the vice chairman of the China Alcoholic Drinks Association, the deputy director of the Liquor Technical Committee of the China Brewing Industry Association, and the chairman of the China Distilled Wine Industry Technology Innovation Strategy Committee

    In recent years, he has published more than 100 high-level research papers, cited more than 600 times, and published 3 monographs (or teaching materials); applied for 24 invention patents, and authorized 16 invention patents, including 1 international invention patent; 12 provincial and ministerial-level scientific research projects, including the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the National Key R&D Program, the 973 Project, the 863 Project, and the Natural Science Foundation of Jiangsu Province; won the Outstanding Contribution Award for Youth in Science and Technology by Sinopec Federation (2019) , the first prize of the Ministry of Education Technology Invention Award (2009), the first prize of the Sinopec Federation Technology Invention Award (2017), the second prize of the Jiangsu Science and Technology Award (2014), the China Industry-University-Research Promotion Association Innovation Achievement Award (2011), etc.
