    between the Cyclades.

Prysmian has been awarded a new €21 million contract for two submarine interconnections in Greece

The project involved the design, supply and installation, as well as the associated land civil works
for the two turnkey high-voltage AC cable systems.
The high-voltage AC cable system is designed to transmit 200 megavolt-amperes, including 150 kV XLPE insulated and two-wire armored three-core cable, and the associated fiber optic cable system along a general route of 18 km (16.
5 km of seabed and 2 km of land) for interconnection
    between the four landing sites.
The submarine cable system will increase and ensure a robust, reliable and sustainable power transmission system
    between the Cyclades.

The submarine cable will be manufactured at the Arco Felice plant, the Group's Centre of Technology and Manufacturing Excellence, while the land cable will be produced
    in Pignataro.
The cable laying activities will be carried out
by the Group's "Giulio Verne" cable laying vessel.
The production of submarine and terrestrial cables will take place
    during the 2018-2019 period.
Delivery and commissioning are scheduled to be completed
in the third quarter of 2019.

This new project confirms Prysmian's role and commitment
in developing the power grid in the Mediterranean, particularly for the installation of deepwater cables.
    It also demonstrates the effectiveness
of Prysmian's proprietary technology and high-voltage AC technology.
