As we all know, plastic PVC is the most widely used plastic variety in the world.
According to the PVC import and export data released by China Customs data for January-February 2021, PVC imports have decreased compared with the same period last year, but exports have increased significantly year-on-year, showing a net export situation.
The editor below makes a brief analysis of the import and export data from January to February.
Imports of PVC powder from January to February were 67,300 tons, a decrease of approximately 22,000 tons from the same period last year.
The decline in PVC powder imports in 2021 is mainly due to the fact that February is during the domestic Spring Festival holiday, downstream demand is gradually weakening, and the PVC market has gradually entered a closed state, waiting for operations after the holiday.
In addition, it is difficult to alleviate the tight supply of foreign goods.
The prices in Southeast Asia and India are higher.
The Chinese market is less attractive to foreign goods, and imports are gradually decreasing.
