On January 15, the large semi-submersible carrier FORTE carrying the A5EA module of the Canadian liquefied natural gas (LNG) project departed from the Qingdao Yard Wharf of Offshore Oil Engineering Co.
During the loading process, CNOOC broke through the unfavorable situation of the past LNG projects where the loading work was dominated by international companies.
Except for the A5EA module delivered this time, the remaining 34 modules of the Canadian LNG project are currently progressing as planned, of which 21 modules have achieved structural capping, and the overall construction progress is close to 65%
COOEC has undertaken the construction of 35 modules in the first phase of the project, including all 19 core process modules, with a total weight of about 178,830 tons
