    Through bioinformatics analysis combined with plasmid interference experiments, the researchers identified the PAM ( protospacer adjacent motif ) recognized by the CRISPR-Cas system as 5'-TTN-3' and 5'-CTC-3' .


    To further improve the editing efficiency, the researchers introduced an exogenous λ-Red recombination system, resulting in efficient multiple genome editing, including gene knockout, gene insertion, base replacement and gene replacement


    Doctoral student Jiang Dandan, postdoctoral researcher Zhang Dandan and assistant researcher Li Shengnan from Qiu Jinlong's research group are the co-first authors of the article, and researcher Qiu Jinlong is the corresponding author
