Quaternary phosphonium salt fungicides are a new generation of high-efficiency, broad-spectrum non-oxidizing fungicides developed on the basis of quaternary ammonium salts .
(1) The bactericidal mechanism of quaternary phosphonium salt bactericidal and algaecide
Quaternary phosphonium salt bactericides are cationic surfactants in terms of structure and type, and their bactericidal mechanism can be generally considered that positively charged organic cations in such compounds are selectively adsorbed by negatively charged bacteria (cations are , Hydrogen bonding force and the hydrophobic binding between surfactant molecules and protein molecules), or gather on the cell wall to produce a ventricular barrier effect, causing the growth of bacteria to be inhibited and die, or through penetration and diffusion through the surface It enters the cell membrane, thereby hindering the semi-permeability of the cell membrane, and further enters the cell interior, inactivating cell enzymes, and protein enzymes cannot be produced, thereby deforming the protein and achieving the effect of killing bacterial cells
Figure 7-22 Structure comparison of quaternary phosphonium salt and quaternary ammonium salt
The quaternary phosphonium salt has a similar structure to the quaternary ammonium salt, as shown in Figure 7-22, except that the nitrogen-containing cation in the quaternary ammonium salt is replaced by a phosphorus-containing cation
(2) Research progress of quaternary phosphonium salt fungicides and algaecides
The application of quaternary phosphonium salt first began in 1941.
The use of quaternary phosphonium salt in water treatment has brought it into a new stage of development.
In 1994, Akihiko et al.
The research on quaternary rust salt fungicides in our country started relatively late, mainly based on foreign research, and further molecular design was carried out to make such fungicides not only have good bactericidal properties, but also have scale inhibition and slowing down.
(3) Production and application of quaternary salt bactericidal and algaecide
Although quaternary phosphonium salt fungicides have many properties that other fungicides do not have, they are difficult to industrialize due to the complex production process of such products and high production costs
