(CorrespondentShi Dingwen) On December 28 , 2021 , Professor Zhao Yanbing and Professor Yang Xiangliang, School of Life, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, National Nanomedicine Engineering Technology Research Center, and Professor Zheng Chuansheng of Union Hospital, Tongji Medical College, Huazhong University of Science and Technology cooperated in the international authoritative journal " Chemical Engineering Journal " published a research paper entitled "The synergistic blood-vessel-embolization of coagulation fusion protein with temperature sensitive nanogels in interventional therapies on hepatocellular carcinoma" .

Tumor vessel infraction (TVI) utilizes coagulation ligand factors to selectively infarct tumor blood vessels and efficiently kill tumor cells, which is currently attracting attention in tumor therapy
    .

Tissue factor extracellular fragment (tTF) is recombinantly fused with a variety of tumor-targeting peptides to obtain coagulation ligands targeting tumor blood vessels, which are widely used in TVI therapy

In response to the above problems, in this study, a thermosensitive nanogel with good fluidity and embolization properties was used to load a fusion protein of truncated tissue factor and tumor-targeted low pH insertion peptide (tTF-pHLIP)
    .

The tTF-pHLIP was superselectively delivered to the tumor supply blood vessels, and encapsulated in it by the sol-gel phase transition behavior of thermosensitive nanogels to achieve slow and controlled release

Shi Dingwen, a doctoral student at the School of Life Sciences of Huazhong University of Science and Technology, and Dr.

Zhang Hongsen of Union Hospital Affiliated to Tongji Medical College are the co-first authors of the article, and Huazhong University of Science and Technology is the first author unit
