Recently, the Qinghai Salt Lake Research Institute of the Chinese Academy of Sciences has made progress
in the research on the comprehensive recycling of rubidium and cesium resources associated with lithium ore.
The research team used the extraction method to separate and extract rubidium cesium from ore resources, breaking through the key core technology
of efficient separation and extraction of low-grade cesium resources associated with lithium ore.
On the basis of a large number of extraction system screening and process condition optimization experiments, the research team proposed a complete process flow of extraction and separation of cesium salts of "extraction-washing-purification-reverse extraction enrichment", and carried out the whole process process scale-up test on the mixing clarifier equipment platform, and after more than 20 days of continuous operation, the extraction rate of cesium was higher than 97%.
At the same time, the technology realizes zero loss of rubidium, the purity of the obtained cesium chloride enrichment solution is not less than 99.
