    Recently, the Lanzhou Institute of Chemical Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences Nano Lubrication Research Group designed and prepared a series of hexagonal boron nitride nanosheets (h-BNNSs)-based lubricant additives


    Based on the strategy of h-BNNSs interlayer interaction, structure and function regulation, the team carried out research on h-BNNSs-based lubricant additive design, development, lubrication performance optimization and tribological mechanism


    h-BNNSs is similar in structure to graphene, has excellent biocompatibility, mechanical strength, high temperature oxidation resistance and chemical stability, and is a promising green additive


    Based on the structure-activity relationship between the electronic distribution state and the corresponding friction properties, this research proposes a method to reduce the interlayer friction of h-BNNSs by adjusting the electronic structure of the h-BNNSs system to change the interlayer interaction
