Research reveals the molecular mechanism of tea plant defense against ring spot disease |
Tea ring spot disease is caused by the fungus of the genus Polychaete, which is one of the main leaf diseases causing serious losses.
Recently, the team of Professor Wei Chaoling of the State Key Laboratory of Tea Biology and Resource Utilization of Anhui Agricultural University published a research paper online in "Acta Botany".
In order to explore the dynamic immune mechanism of tea plants, this study used the fungus of the genus Polychaete to inoculate tea leaves "Shu Chazao" for a period of time, and tracked the gene expression during the process, and identified 2116 differential genes and 95 differential miRNAs for research.
Studies have found that the defense mechanism of tea plants against ring spot disease is complex and multi-faceted.
The study systematically clarified the dynamic immune response of tea plants against ring spot disease, and revealed the tea plant's defense strategies over a period of time.
