Shanghai BEIJING, September 4 (Reporter Zheng Yingying) reporter from China Kexue Yuan Innovation Center of Excellence in Molecular Plant Science informed, Chao Research Group on behalf of Indian researchers found that the center of crucial genes affect the iron content of seeds, is expected to help solve the "hidden Sexual hunger"-lack of iron and other trace elements

Iron deficiency is currently one of the most serious nutritional problems in the world.

According to Chao Daiyin’s research group, NA is also the best enhancer to promote iron absorption in humans and animals, and it also helps prevent Alzheimer’s and hypertension.

However, after NA is synthesized in the cell, how can it be transported out of the cell and combined with iron? How to co-transport to the kernel with iron? These have always been unsolved mysteries in the field of plant nutrition

This study by Chao Daiyin’s research group first identified NAET1 and NAET2, the key iron transport genes in plants that have long been concerned by plant nutritionists, from the plant Arabidopsis thaliana, and found that these two genes encode proteins that can resemble animal neurotransmitters.

This research has discovered the key genes that affect iron transportation and accumulation in plant seeds, expanded people's understanding of the transportation of plant nutrients, and provided a new perspective for solving human iron deficiency
