Rosatom's first wind power plant is about to come into service

Rosatom has completed the construction of its first wind farm in the Russian Republic of Adygea, in the Russian Caucasus, which is now ready to start generating electricity

The 150 MW Adigueya wind farm is equipped with 13 wind turbines in the first batch with an installed capacity of 23.

Alexandr Korchaguin, CEO of NovaWind (Rosatom's wind power division), said: "The wind power plant project will enable Rosatom to develop an industry
as promising as low-carbon energy.

Alexandr Korchaguin commented that much remains to be done
to obtain the necessary permits for the work of wind farms and their connection to the wholesale electricity market.
Rosatom sees wind energy as an important part of
the company's non-nuclear projects.
NovaWind will need to build a wind power facility
with a cumulative installed capacity of 1 GW by 2023.
These facilities should be built in the Republic of Adygea, Stavropol and Rostov regions
