Rubber Authority of India: Need to increase the country's rubber production to reduce the scale of imports

The bureau called on growers to increase production and productivity, and strive to achieve self-sufficiency in rubber in the country

  In terms of short-term strategies, such as the adoption of good agricultural practices, the promotion of rain prevention and disease management, and the improvement of rubber tapping methods are important themes for increasing production
.


  In terms of long-term strategy, expanding new planting and replanting of rubber plantations, replanting high-yield rubber in old plantations, and planting suitable rubber varieties in the northeast and other regions are long-term plans that the country can take to increase natural rubber production.
