Russia's Ministry of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media has announced the deployment of submarine and terrestrial fiber optic networks to the Chukotka Autonomous Okrug, and a tender has been launched

Specifically, the government plans to allocate 234 million rubles in 2019, 500 million rubles in 2020, 4.
01 billion rubles in 2021 and 2.
144 billion rubles in 2022 for the implementation of
new fiber optic network projects.
By then, the new fiber optic network will be 2,220 kilometers long, including 2,210 kilometers of submarine cables and 10 kilometers of land cables, connecting Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky and Anadyr (Chukotka Autonomous Region)
in Kamchatka.
The new fiber network system will include no fewer than four fiber pairs with a minimum design capacity of 100Gbps
.
The project contract also calls for the completion of project deployment in 2022, as well as 5 years (until 2027) of fiber network operation and maintenance services
.
Interested developers have until 30 August 2019 to submit their bids
