Russia lifts ban on tomato imports by two Kazakhstani companies

The Interfax news agency Moscow/Nur Sultan announced on January 27th that it had decided to lift the ban on the export of tomatoes and peppers from two Kazakh enterprises to Russia from January 27th, according to a news release from the Russian Federation's Animal and Plant Health Administration.
two Kazakh companies are Green Capital Kazakhstan in Aktubin and Green Land Alatau in Almaty.

December 2020, the Russian Animal and Plant Health Administration decided to ban the export of tomatoes and peppers to Russia from 18 January 2021 in the states of Aktubin and Almaty, Kazakhstan, citing the discovery of the tomato brown wrinkle fruit virus.
The State Monitoring Committee of the Ministry of Agriculture's Agricultural and Industrial Complex made representations on the matter and reached an agreement on the lifting of the relevant ban by the Russian side.
