On January 21, Rosneft's state oil pipeline transport company said it would export oil
to China via Mongolia by rail.
According to Igor Jemin, adviser to the president of the Russian State Oil Pipeline Transport Company, in 2015, Russia exported 16 million tons of oil to China through the "Skevorodino-Mohe" pipeline, and in the same year, 7 million tons and 13.
436 million tons
of oil were exported to China through the "Atsu-Alashankou" pipeline in Kazakhstan and the port of Kozymino respectively.
In December 2015, Russia transported about 20,000 tons of oil
to China for the first time through the Megte liquid shipping hub in Russia.
According to Igor Jamin, the Megte distribution center is Russia's fourth route for oil exports to China, and its maximum annual oil transmission capacity in 2016 is expected to reach 3.
