Sinochem News reported on June 1, MRC's DataScope released a report that in the first four months of this year, Russia imported 8,600 tons of suspended polyvinyl chloride (SPVC), a year-on-year increase of 59%, while exports fell by 12%.
In April, Russia's SPVC imports fell from 4,300 tons in March to 1,000 tons.
Russia's total SPVC imports were 5,400 tons in the same period last year, of which imports from China accounted for most of the new imports.
Although the price of PVC in foreign markets is higher, Russian producers have reduced exports.
From January to April, the total export volume of SPVC from Russia was 66,100 tons, compared with 75,000 tons in the same period of the previous year.
