Sinochem News recently, Saudi Basic Industries Corporation (SABIC) launched two new products containing pre-consumer recycled glass fiber-LNP ELCRIN WF006XXPiQ modified material and LNP ELCRIN WF0061XPiQ modified material
.
These two materials are the first two grades launched in the LNP ELCRIN product line
.
This series of materials all contain pre-consumer recycled glass fiber extracted from industrial waste
It is understood that SABIC is one of the first material suppliers to use pre-consumer recycled glass fiber in thermoplastic modified materials
.
According to the underwriters laboratory's recycled content verification procedure, and in accordance with the mass balance method, the short glass fibers used in these two new ELCRIN iQ materials contain 100% recycled content
In addition to improving sustainability, these materials also have good structural properties (hardness and strength), chemical resistance, high heat-resistant temperature and colorability, and are suitable for various applications in the consumer electronics, automotive, electrical and electronic industries
.
In addition, LNP ELCRIN WF0061XPiQ modified material has halogen-free flame retardant properties
Darpan Parikh, head of global product management for the LNP product line of SABIC's Specialty Materials Business Unit, added: "These two new generation materials bring new possibilities for customers to promote the'carbon neutral' strategy, namely by further increasing the use of recycled ingredients.
To reduce the carbon emissions of its products, while maintaining the original performance level and processability
.
