Original title: Salmon fans have seen it! Eating more salmon promotes intestinal health
Researchers at the University of Nottingham and King's College London have found that eating salmon, supplemented with omega 3 fatty acids, does promote intestinal health and reduce the risk of intestinal diseases such as colitis.
the researchers examined the gut bacteriocytes of 876 female volunteers, analyzed the types, and surveyed them about their intake of omega 3 fatty acids, as well as serum concentrations that measured blood nutrition. The results showed that women who ate more omega 3 fatty acids had higher serum concentrations and richer types of intestinal bacteriocytes.
study is published in the latest issue of the British journal Scientific Reports. The digestive system is home to trillions of microorganisms, most of which are probiotics that play an important role in people's digestion and immune systems and in regulating their weight, the Daily Mail reported, citing the report's lead author, Anna Valdez. Previous studies have shown a link between a variety of intestinal bacteria and a lower risk of intestinal inflammatory diseases such as diabetes, obesity and colitis. (Huang Min)
