    How to prepare fiber-polymer energy storage batteries quickly and on a large scale has long been a bottleneck in the field of smart fibers


    In the past research, people used the coating method of planar batteries to prepare fiber batteries, but the process is complicated and the efficiency is low, which is difficult to meet the needs of large-scale production applications


    "The difficulty of the wet spinning route is how to maintain the interfacial stability between the functional components of the battery and realize the electrochemical activity in the extremely fine and soft fiber structure


    To this end, the research team conducted a large number of screening experiments on the formulation of battery active materials and slurry fluid properties, and based on the pre-experiment database, the internal channels of the spinneret, the core component, were redesigned


    On this basis, the researchers revealed the interaction mechanism between the polymer matrix and other functional components during the integrated molding of fiber batteries, and established the correlation law between the structure and performance of different functional components


    "Compared with fiber energy storage batteries prepared by traditional coating methods, the large-scale, one-step fiber batteries prepared by wet polymer 'spinning' are thinner, more flexible, and closer to polymers commonly used in textiles.
