    Recently, Yin Zi of Shanghai Normal University, a member of the Shi tinge science team, and Dr. Cai Chenyang of the Nanjing Institute of Geology and Paleontology, and Huang Diying, a researcher, jointly described and published a moss fossil from Myanmar's Hukawng Valley, pushing the earliest origin of the family forward by 99 million years. The results have been published in the latest issue of
    Journal.
    authors named the new genus 'Kuafu Borealis Yin, Cai and Huang'. The genus 'Kuafu' is taken from the myth and legend of our country's "Kwa Father's Day", and the species 'borealis' means 'from the north', indicating that the place of discovery of this species belonged to the northern hemisphere 100 million years ago. Scydmaenini, a major group of moss-beans belonging to the moss-beetle family under the hidden-winged insect family, has more than 750 species worldwide. In recent years, as the heat on fossil insects has increased, scientists have discovered many primitive moss types from the recent to Cretaceous amber, covering the major moss branches. Not so long ago, also published by Yin Zi, Cai Chenyang and so on, 'terror ancient whip moss armor' belongs to the Mastigini. Confusingly, scientists had not previously found moss fossils from any amber-producing areas before this study, so speculating on the origin of the moss was a problem for a while. The discovery of the world's oldest moss fossil is the first fossil record of this group, providing direct evidence for the further reconstruction of the system development and morphological evolution of the entire moss aco in the future.
