    Serbian government approves export quotas for cereals, flour and edible oil

    Nantong News Agency reported on April 20 that the Serbian government approved a monthly export quota of 150,000 tons of wheat and corn , 20,000 tons of flour and 8 million liters of refined sunflower oil at a meeting today .

     
    Upon request, each production unit can apply for approval for 20% of the total quota for each group of products each month
    .
    If the exporter does not export this month or exports more than the approved quantity, it will not be able to submit the export request for the next month
    .
    From the 20th to the 25th of each month, the export application for the next month can be submitted to the Ministry of Agriculture of Cyprus, and the export application for May can be submitted from April 22 to 28
    .
     
    The quota was determined on the advice of the Serbian Grain Association, which held a meeting with Prime Minister Brnabic last week and proposed 350,000 tonnes of grain and unrestricted exports of flour per month
    .
    The Serbian government stated that such a decision was made in order to successfully deal with the risk of market volatility caused by the significant increase in international and domestic market demand
