On March 18, the Biodegradable Materials Industry Innovation and Development Seminar and the Shanghai New Materials Association Biodegradable Materials and Recycling Technology Professional Committee inaugural meeting was held in Shanghai

At the meeting, Ma Xingfa, party secretary and full-time vice chairman of the Shanghai Association for Science and Technology, Guan Weiyong, party secretary and chairman of the Shanghai Federation of Industrial Economics (Shanghai Federation of Economic Organizations), first-level investigation by the New Materials Division of the Shanghai Economic and Information Technology Commission Member Li Huimin, and Zhu Xueming, inspector of the Certification Supervision Division of Shanghai Municipal Market Supervision Administration, attended and delivered speeches

At the seminar, Professor Ren Jie, Director of the Institute of Nano and Biopolymer Materials, School of Materials Science and Engineering, Tongji University, and Chairman of Shanghai Tongjieliang Biomaterials Company, discussed "opportunities and challenges faced by the biodegradable materials industry in the context of plastic bans.

Participants said that the establishment of the Shanghai New Materials Association's Biodegradable Materials and Recycling Technology Professional Committee is of great significance.
