CRRC uses carbon fiber cloth independently developed and produced by Shanghai Petrochemical and woven by its restructured enterprise Xindiliang Company as raw materials, and has carried out a series of technical research and development, which was finally applied on the "Bay Area Blue" train

Carbon fiber composite materials have the advantages of integrated molding process and low cost, which will lead the technological innovation of the front-end module of composite materials for the next generation of high-speed trains, and open up a broader field for the application of carbon fiber and its composite materials in China

At present, Shanghai Petrochemical's 12,000 tons/year 48K large tow carbon fiber project is under intense construction, and the first phase of the project is expected to be completed and put into operation by the end of this year
