    At present, the underground microbial "corps" in the Luo 801 block is strong and powerful, effectively controlling the slow rise of water content in the block and the steady growth of crude oil


    Block Luo 801 is a typical fault block oil reservoir.


    In order to explore new ways to improve the oil recovery of oil reservoirs developed by high temperature and medium permeability water flooding, the Shengli Oilfield Petroleum Engineering Technology Research Institute carried out a microbial flooding experiment in this block in July 1999


    The principle of microbial flooding is to screen out microbial strains suitable for the oil reservoir environment.


    The Luo 801 block has successively experienced the exogenous microbial flooding stage, the air-assisted exogenous microbial flooding stage, and the endogenous microbial ecological regulation stage up to the present


    The monitoring of biological characteristics of Luo 801 produced fluid showed that the injected microorganisms and nutrient fluids have formed a new stable biological chain (field) in the formation, the dominant bacteria colony has proliferated, and biological activities and metabolites have significantly improved the flow of crude oil.


    At present, from the perspective of block development indicators, the unit decline has been significantly slowed down, the actual comprehensive water cut is significantly lower than the theoretical value, the water cut rise rate has dropped from 8.
