8 yuan to build a polyvinyl chloride plant in the United States
.

Shin-Etsu Chemical's US subsidiary Shintech will build a new plant at its base in Louisiana in the southern United States
.
The base is currently building a polyvinyl chloride plant with an annual production capacity of 290,000 tons, which will be put into operation in the summer of 2021 at the earliest, and it is decided to build a new plant before its completion

The new plant will produce 580,000 tons of vinyl chloride monomer (VCM), 380,000 tons of polyvinyl chloride (PVC), and 390,000 tons of caustic soda per year.
It is planned to be completed in 2023
