Recently, China National Shipbuilding Corporation announced that its subsidiary Shipbuilding Group and the Norwegian Northern Light Company have successfully signed a contract for the construction of two 7,500 cubic meters of liquefied carbon dioxide carrier

The ship type of this project was independently designed and completed by the Shipbuilding Group, with complete independent intellectual property rights

It is reported that the ship will be used in the European carbon dioxide capture and storage plan to collect carbon dioxide produced by European industries and transport it to the carbon dioxide receiving terminal on the west coast of Norway to be injected into the seabed for permanent storage 2600 meters underground, thereby reducing carbon dioxide emissions in Europe
