The case book was presented
at the China Corner Meeting at the second phase of the 15th Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity (COP15).
The case book selects 23 best cases from hundreds of companies around the world, of which 17 are from China
.

"Sinopec: Park Construction to Nurture Biodiversity Benefits" details two representative enterprise cases of Sinopec's biodiversity benefits, namely Zhenhai Refining's only petrochemical enterprise Bailu Habitat and Yanshan Petrochemical's ecological industrial wastewater comprehensive purification practice
of "industrial sewage treatment + wetland natural ecological restoration system that meets the standard".

Yanshan Petrochemical innovates water governance model

Since June 2017, Yanshan Petrochemical has upgraded the Niukouyu Reservoir, innovated the methods and concepts of sewage purification and reuse of chemical enterprises, and turned the sewage treatment plant into a wetland park, which not only realizes the discharge of industrial sewage up to standard, but also conserves the ecological environment

At present, there are more than 140 species of wild birds and more than 50 species
of rare birds in the wetland park.
