Lipids can participate in cell membrane construction, energy storage, and cell signal transduction, while lipidomics can analyze and quantify lipids in biological samples with high throughput
At this stage, there are few analysis tools for lipidomics, and there is an urgent need for an easy-to-use tool for data cleaning, data mining, pathway analysis, etc.
Based on the above research status and ideas, on July 31, 2021, the Huanghe research group of the Institute of Metabolism and Integrative Biology of Fudan University, the research group of Academician Li Peng and the research group of Yang Chaoyong of Xiamen University jointly published the title LINT- in Small Methods.
In order to verify the feasibility of this tool, the author used two sets of lipidome and transcriptome data for testing
In the omics data of SVF differentiated cells, the author found that during the 10-day differentiation process of SVF cells, triglycerides and diglycerides continued to increase, while most phospholipids increased in the first four days, and then remained stable afterwards.
The functions contained in LINT-web cover important aspects such as lipid ID conversion, lipid classification and statistics, and lipid pathway analysis, which are difficult to cover by most mainstream lipidomics analysis tools
The Yellow River Young Researcher of the Institute of Metabolism and Integrative Biology, Fudan University, Academician Li Peng, and Professor Yang Chaoyong of Xiamen University are the co-corresponding authors of the paper.
