Sonatrach unveils petrochemical investment plan

Recently, Toufik Hakkar, CEO of Algerian energy giant Sonatrach, released an update on the company's business growth projects

The company said it continues to look for investment opportunities in profitable projects at home and abroad

Sonatrach also plans to implement other petrochemical projects to convert Algeria's hydrocarbon resources into plastics, including the previously announced propane dehydrogenation (PDH) and polypropylene (PP) plants, planned to be constructed with Total in Alzer, Algeria

Hakkar revealed that there are other projects under study, including a $6 billion investment in Skikda to convert oil and gas resources into polymers
