South Korea's energy ministry said it had shut down 10 coal-fired power plants
on Tuesday as part of its anti-pollution campaign.
The government said last month it would idle up to 15 coal-fired power plants between December and February, while the rest were expected to provide enough power

The Energy Department said in a statement late Monday that 41 coal-fired power plants would operate
at 80 percent capacity.
South Korea is Asia's fourth-largest economy, with about 60 coal-fired power plants generating about 40 percent
of its electricity.
Nuclear power accounts for about 30% of South Korea's electricity, followed by natural gas with about 20%.
Analysts expect a reduction in coal generation to give the country a slight boost to LNG demand
