South Korea's imports of frozen cooked mussels fell 52% year-on-year in April

From SeafoodMedia on May 26, South Korea imported 42 tons of frozen cooked mussels (half shells) in April, a 65% decrease from 121 tons in the same period last year.
The cumulative import volume in the first four months was 177 tons, compared with 556 tons in the same period last year.
A drop of 214%.

The average import volume of frozen cooked mussels from April 2016 to 2021 was 103 tons, and the import volume in April this year was 59% lower than the average.

All mussel products imported by South Korea come from New Zealand.
Imports in April amounted to US$250,000, a drop of 224% year-on-year from US$810,000 in the same period last year.
The average unit price in April fell from US$6.
69 per kilogram to US$5.
