South Korea's kimchi exports will increase by a record 38% year-on-year in 2020

SEOUL, Feb. 8 (Yonhap) -- South Korea's kimchi exports rose 37.6 percent year-on-year to a record $144.51 million in 2020, according to data released By the South Korean Customs Service (KCNA) and the food industry on Tuesday.
Kimchi is sold in more than 80 countries and regions around the world.
exports to Japan amounted to $71.1 million, or 49.2 per cent of total exports.
