State Secretary of the German Chancellery: Germany will soon be freed from its dependence on Russian coal and oil

According to German media reports, Jörg Kukis, state secretary of the German Chancellery, said in Sydney on the 13th that Germany will soon get rid of its dependence on
Russian coal and oil.

According to the German "Daily Mirror" report, Kutches made the above statement
at the energy forum jointly organized by the International Energy Agency (IEA) and the Australian government on the same day.
He pointed out that Germany will no longer import Russian coal from August 1 and will no longer rely on Russian oil
from December 31.

Kutches said this would fundamentally change Germany's energy supply

Previously, Russia supplied 40% of Germany's coal and 40%
of the oil.
"It's not easy to get rid of that dependence, but we'll do it
in a few months.

Kuchis also noted that getting rid of dependence on Russia's coal and oil is a bigger challenge
than getting rid of its dependence on Russia's coal and oil.
The EU imports about 158 billion cubic meters of gas
from Russia every year.
While the United States and Qatar together can provide Europe with about 30 billion cubic meters of LNG, there is a huge gap
between the two.

According to reports, Germany is currently rapidly building 4 LNG import terminals in order to make up for the gap in
natural gas supply.
The federal government hopes that two of them will be operational
this coming winter.
