Foreign media news on August 3: Consulting agency StoneX Consulting Company this week estimated that the total output of Brazil's corn in 2020/21 will be 87.
14 million tons, slightly lower than the previous forecast of 87.
    9 million tons
    .

This will also be the lowest production since 2017/18, when corn production was 80.
    7 million tons
    .

StoneX reduced its 2020/21 second-season corn production in Brazil to 59.
6 million tons, which was lower than the 60.
5 million tons previously expected due to severe frosts that occurred last month
    .

The company’s analysts said that the reason for the reduction in corn production by more than 800,000 tons was due to lower yields in the states of Sao Paulo, Minas Gerais, and Mato Grosso Sul, as well as the Parana State suffered the most from frost last month
    .
In addition, the results of the second crop harvest showed that the lack of rainfall had a greater impact on the yield of corn than previously expected
