NetworkChapter VIII Stress The concept of stress Section I stress stress refers to a series of neuro
endocrine
reactions and various changes in functions and metabolism caused by the body's increased cortical and pituitary cortical secretion when stimulated by various strong factors (i.e., stressors). Any physical or emotional stimulation, as long as it reaches a certain intensity, can become a stressor, such as trauma, burns, frostbite, infection, poisoning, fever, radiation effects, bleeding, hypoxia, cold environment, overheating, surgery, pain, physical exertion, hunger, fatigue, emotional tension, anxiety, fear, anger, excitement, etc.stress caused by any stressor, its physiological response and changes are almost the same, so an important feature of stress is its non-material nature.stress is a systemic adaptive reaction, which is very important in both
and
pathology. Stress can be beneficial to people as well as harmful to them.in daily life, almost everyone will encounter some of the role of the kine. As long as the effect is not excessively intense and the timing of the effect is not excessively persistent, the resulting stress will facilitate the mobilization of the body and mind in order to better accomplish the tasks that must be accomplished or to better avoid the dangers that may occur, that is, the stress will enable people to deal effectively with the various difficult situations in daily life. This kind of stress is obviously beneficial to the body. This is known as benign stress.if the effects of stressogens are too strong and/or too persistent, the resulting stress falls within the pathophysiological category. Many diseases or pathological processes are accompanied by stress, which is an integral part of these diseases, both of which have their own specific changes and a series of nonsexual changes caused by stress. Stress in disease, not only has the role of adapting to compensation and defense, but also it can cause pathological changes. In the development of trauma, burns, serious infectious diseases, etc., there is stress participation, but these are not considered stress diseases, only stress ulcers in diseases mainly manifested by the damage caused by stress can be called stress diseases. Because stress can cause pathological changes in the above cases, it is called malignant stress.
