As of February 2020, researchers searched Medline, Web of Science, Embase, Scopus, ProQuest and CochraneCentral

Eligible trials compared the preventive effect of any oral or intravenous drug or intracranial drug-eluting implant, or placebo or standard care in hospitalized patients with confirmed aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage

The researchers included 53 trials involving a total of 10,415 patients

CONCLUSIONS: Nimodipine and cilostazol may be the most effective treatments for preventing morbidity and mortality in patients with aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage
