From 2011 to 2015, 1000 patients with acute intracerebral hemorrhage who were randomly assigned to intensive (110-139 mmHg) or standard (140-179 mmHg) systolic blood pressure (SBP) were analyzed
Group-based trajectory modeling revealed 4 groups of SBP trajectories: moderate SBP (from ≈ 190 mmHg on arrival to hospital to 150-160 mmHg after randomization; n=298), moderate to low SBP (from ≈ 190 mmHg 190 mmHg to <140 mmHg; n=395), high to low SBP (from >210 mmHg to <140 mmHg; n=134) and high SBP (from >210 mmHg to 160-170 mmHg; n=173)

CONCLUSIONS: Data observations using a group-based trajectory modeling approach may help to elucidate the relationship between antihypertensive treatment, trends in SBP, and acute intracerebral hemorrhage outcomes
