Sucheta Govil will become Chief Commercial Officer of Cosco Ventures

Materials maker Cosco has selected a new chief commercial officer to fill the last vacant seat on its board. At a meeting on Tuesday, the supervisory board unanimously confirmed Sucheta Govil, 55, to the post. She will succeed Dr. Markus Steilemann as Chief Commercial Officer on August 1, 2019 as Chief Commercial Officer

. In addition to serving as CEO, Dr. Xervin currently serves as Chief Commercial Officer. Govil will be responsible for the three business segments of polyurethane, polycarbonate and coatings, adhesives and specialty chemicals. In addition, as a board member, she will be responsible for the newly established Central Marketing Department and the operations of the Innovation Management and Business Services and Supply Chain Centers in three regions.
Sucheta Govil was born in India in September 1963. From 1 October 2018 to the present, she has been a non-executive director of Eurocell plc, a leading London-based supplier of construction products. Prior to that, she held market leadership positions at life sciences and materials science firm DSM (Netherlands) and AkzoNobel Decorative Coatings (UK). In addition, she served as PepsiCo's Vice President of Innovation, Business and Marketing for Markets in Asia, the Middle East and Africa, and as Managing Director of GlaxoSmithKline's Global Nutrition Category in India and the United Kingdom. Sucheta Govil holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Business Administration from the Indian School of Management in Kolkata and a Bachelor's degree in Economics from St. Stephen's College, University of Delhi.
