It is reported that Sumitomo Chemical will start a business feasibility study (FS) for a new propane dehydrogenation (PDH) facility project in Singapore, which is scheduled to be completed around 2026

The company is discussing the use of propylene derivatives produced by PDH equipment mainly for polypropylene (PP) for packaging materials, which is expected to expand in the Asia-Pacific region

When implementing this large-scale project, Sumitomo Chemical declared that it "will build an environment-friendly and targeted production-type complex that can achieve carbon neutrality in stages
