    Sinochem News recently, Japan's Sumitomo Metal Mining Company announced that the company has completed the world's first research and development of battery material recycling technology, and its recycling cost is close to that of mining virgin materials


    Sumitomo Mine said that the cathode material is an important part of lithium batteries for pure electric vehicles, using metals such as cobalt, lithium, and nickel


    At present, the European Union has issued new regulations on the recycling of lithium batteries, stipulating that by 2030, the recycling of cobalt shall account for 12% of the total cobalt used, and lithium and nickel shall account for 4% respectively
