    Exercise is beneficial to the physical function of prostate cancer patients, but its effects on social and cognitive functions are not consistent.
    this meta-analysis of exercise intervention in prostate cancer patients has two objectives: the primary purpose is to assess the impact of exercise intervention on social function;
    researchers retrieved relevant papers from the Electronic Database (Embase, MEDLINE, PubMed, PsycINFO and the Chinese Database Elty Library) (1987-2019), including manual searches.
    , 10 related randomized controlled trials were analyzed using integrated meta-analysis software, and the aggregated averages were used to determine social and cognitive function.
    meta-analysis showed that exercise had social function in men with prostate cancer compared to the control group (Hedges' g s 0.35, 95% CI (0.193, 0.515), p slt;0 .001) and cognitive function (Hedges' g s 0.35, 95% CI (0.123, 0.575), p slt;0.01) have an overall beneficial effect.
    compared to the control group, the duration of the intervention was 12-16 weeks and 24-48 weeks, providing supervised aerobic exercise combined with resistance exercise courses with small to moderate effects on social function.
    one of the exercise groups had a serious but not fatal adverse event due to high exercise intensity (50-75% VO2max).
    , as far as we know, this is the first meta-analysis to study the effects of exercise interventions on cognitive function in prostate cancer patients.
    we recommend further research to confirm these findings.
