The European Commission on Friday approved Lithuania's 2.
2 billion euro recovery and recovery plan, which includes reforms and investments to develop renewable energy and energy storage

38% of the program's allocation will go to measures
to support the green transition.
Lithuania intends to invest 242 million euros in the development of offshore and onshore wind and solar power and the establishment of public and private energy storage systems

In addition, Lithuania plans to invest another 300 MW of solar and wind energy and 200 MW of electricity storage capacity

Lithuania will also invest €341 million to phase out the most polluting vehicles and increase the share of
renewable energy in the transport sector.

Following the adoption by the Council of the EC funding proposal, the €2.
2 billion grant will begin to be paid to Lithuania and will be completed
within four weeks.
