    According to the Russian "Evotor" company, the price of Russian offline retail products in January increased by 10% year-on-year compared with last year, with buckwheat , dumplings and small sausages
    increasing the most year-on-year .
     
    The company assesses price trends based on its product index, which is based on actual data on off-line trade purchases, using 523 commodities across 71 traditional trade key product categories

    "In January this year, the prices of non-online retail products rose by 10% compared to January 2021.

    Within a month, the prices of products rose by 1%," the company said, adding that on an annual basis, the prices of buckwheat, dumplings and small sausages rose year-on-year.

    Buckwheat prices were up 24% year-on-year, sausages were up 22%, dumplings were up 21% and honey biscuits and waffles were up 18%

    Cigarette prices at traditional (offline) retailing rose 14%, alcohol prices rose 4%, and non-food consumer goods prices also rose 4%

    Prices of the following categories increased significantly in January 2022 compared to December 2021, including chocolate candy, which increased by 4%; macaroni, buckwheat, rice, honey biscuits and waffles, which increased by 3%; wheat flour, sausages , cream, butter, cheese, canned fish prices rose 2%

    In addition, the prices of vegetable (fruit) purees and instant noodles, baked goods, chocolate bars, biscuits and ketchup increased by 2%; the prices of milk, fruit fudge, water, carbonated drinks, coffee powder and semi-finished meat products increased by 1%

      The company said prices for cigarettes and alcohol were unchanged month-on-month, while prices for non-food consumer goods rose 5%

    Prices for vegetable oils, teas, sweets and children's beverages remain unchanged

    Prices of kefir, mayonnaise, children's dairy products and instant coffee fell 1 per cent, while those of milk residue and cocoa fell 3 per cent
