    Urban sewage treatment is a high energy consumption industry, and the electricity consumption of urban sewage treatment in the United States accounts for more than 3% of the total electricity consumption of the whole society

    For sustainable municipal wastewater treatment, which is positioned at energy and phosphorus recovery, in 2003, China cooperated with the Delft University of Technology (TU Delft) in the Netherlands to propose the conceptual process shown in Figure 1-17
    .


    In order to effectively intercept the excess COD of sewage (except the carbon source required for denitrification and phosphorus removal) and convert it into methane by anaerobic digestion, the A section of the German A/B method was used to concentrate suspended and dissolved COD in the early years
