    High-voltage lithium metal batteries are regarded as one of the next-generation high-energy-density energy storage devices with great promise, and are continuously developing towards applications such as electric vehicles, space exploration, subsea operations, and large-scale grid energy storage


    In order to solve the above problems, researchers from Wu Xiaodong's team at Suzhou Institute of Nanotechnology and Nano-Bionics, Chinese Academy of Sciences have made a series of research progress in non-flammable electrolytes and safe lithium metal batteries


    Recently, in order to further reduce costs and better meet application needs, the research team mixed a non-flammable low-viscosity low-melting point hydrofluoroether inert diluent with a low-melting point ionic liquid solvent, and innovatively used an ultra-low concentration (0.
