    A new study examines the synthesis and properties of SrSn (OH) 6nm rods and their flame retardant and smoke-suppressing effects on epoxy resins.

    the flame retardant and smoke-suppressant properties of EP/SrSn(OH) 6 composites are studied by limit oxygen index and tapered heat method. The results show that the addition of SrSn(OH)6 can greatly reduce the fire hazard of EP, including a maximum reduction of 21.9% in maximum heat release rate, a 33.3% decrease in toxic CO yield and an increase in 133.3% residual carbon.
    , this is the first attempt to evaluate the flame retardant properties of SrSn (OH) 6nm rods in the EP. The increased flame retardant properties of SrSn (OH) 6nm rods are attributed to their catalytic carbidification.
