Israeli researchers found that pregnant women taking paracetic pain increased their risk of developing ADHD, or ADHD, by up to 30 percent after birth, and by up to 20 percent.
is the most commonly used non-anti-inflammatory analgesic. Researchers at the University of Hebrew came to this conclusion based on a three- to 11-year follow-up of more than 132,000 mothers and children and an analysis of the data available.
    However, in the
paper, the researchers said: "While we recommend that pregnant women avoid taking any non-essential medications as much as possible, we believe that people should not change the current approach to short-term medication when clinically necessary, based on our findings." According
U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, 65 percent of pregnant women in the U.S. take paracelione when needed. Researchers have so far failed to find out why paracetic pain taken by mothers during pregnancy increases the risk of ADHD and autism in children. Previous studies have shown a link between the intake of certain medications and children's communication disorders and lower IQs. (Source: Qiao Ying, XinhuaNet)
