Tannin
[Structural formula]
Plant tannins are complex secondary metabolites of higher plants, which are widely distributed in plants
[Physical and chemical properties] Tannins are light yellow to light brown amorphous powder, scales or spongy solids
[Preparation]
(1) Extraction of plant tannins
Extracting tannins should use fresh base materials as much as possible.
(2) Separation and purification of tannins
The tannin extract obtained by extraction often contains a large amount of free sugar, protein, glucosinolate and other impurities, especially the presence of a large amount of sugar prevents the crude extract from being completely dried, and it is easy to absorb moisture and become syrupy
Commonly used preliminary separation methods include salting out precipitation method, dialysis method, solvent method, gel column chromatography and so on
(3) Modification of tannins
Tannin is a natural scale and corrosion inhibitor.
Place the three-necked flask in a cold water bath, add a certain concentration of industrial tannins, stir, 30 minutes later, slowly add 25g sulfuric acid , and control the temperature below 45°C
