TE SubCom upgrades SL17 submarine cable to meet high performance requirements
TE SubCom explained that the new cable type has a similar structure to the standard SL17 submarine cable product, but with a more compact assembly, resulting in an improved design
for certain applications.
In addition, the nominal instantaneous tensile strength of the new cable has been optimized to 50 kN to meet the requirements
of high-performance cables.
